Our older dogs are perfect for those that want to skip the puppy stage, and enjoy an already even-tempered dog. Many people are not aware of the level of breeding at Smoky Mtn Labradors on an annual basis, and from time to time, we have older dogs retired from breeding available. Since our infrastructure is large, we have the privilege of knowing of what dogs we will be retiring in the upcoming year. Because we receive so many requests for these older dogs, we pre-sale them in advance as we do all of our Smoky Mtn Pups.

Older Girls
We are so committed to responsible breeding at the highest level and none of what we do could be done without our satellite kennels where all our girls live throughout the year. On average, we will retire 4-5 high-quality girls between the age of 3-5 years old each year. The typical wait time for one of our retiring breeding girls is 6-12 months.

Younger Boys & Girls
Our younger boys and girls are often “Gene’s Pick” from litters. These are the boys and girls that we have kept from a litter, but did not meet our expectations in the show ring or the field. When we decide to keep pups at 4 months of age to see their ability in the show ring ,or even the field, they were the best in the litter or even the best of 3 or 4 litters at that time. Some pups do not thrive when tested in these areas, and are better suited to become a loving pet. This is when we try to find the perfect fit in their forever home. Please understand, these were not the “rejects” or “leftover” pups. These are extremely high-class dogs. Younger boys & girls are price upon request only according to the individual dog.
